Your rental includes complimentary roadside assistance for one flat tire, a broken belt, or if your vehicle gets stuck at no extra charge (Stuck in water/mud- not covered). Our Can-Am Mavericks are new and well-maintained, so mechanical issues are very unlikely. However, if a vehicle rolls over and needs to be trailered back to the shop, recovery fees start at $300 and vary depending on location.
-
You’re free to explore as far as you like. Your rental includes one full tank of gas, and additional fuel can be purchased at the Blu-In. Please stay within areas designated for off-road vehicles inside the Ocotillo Wells State Vehicular Recreation Area and never drive on public roads. Certain shaded areas shown on the park map are on trail only, so please stay on marked trails. Always drive within your skill level. The desert terrain can be unpredictable, and hitting uneven berms or soft sand at high speed can cause a rollover.
-
We recommend bringing a soft-sided cooler bag for drinks and snacks — it’s much easier to handle than a bulky hard cooler. For clothing, think “safari style”: light-colored, breathable fabrics are best during warmer months, and layering is always a good idea as desert temperatures can change quickly.
If you’re renting ATVs, many riders also like to wear gloves for extra comfort and grip. A backpack is also smart to bring since there’s no built-in storage on the ATVs. And don’t forget — plenty of water!
-
Beverages and water are not included with your rental, so we recommend bringing your own drinks and snacks for the ride. From Friday through Sunday, the Blu-In Café is open and offers food, water, and other refreshments — a perfect stop before or after your adventure!
